Harrison Mixbus Vst Plugins

Harrison’s reputation for “True Analog In-The-Box” sound is due to our unique development heritage. We first created an analog console processor and then converted the processor to digital while retaining the sound and character of the original analog system.

Harrison AVA plugins provide renowned Harrison sound and usability in a convenient plugin format for AAX, VST, VST3, and AudioUnit hosts. Harrison expansion DLC effect plugins are a little on the pricey side, and lack decent presets, but improve on the already excellent built-in effects included in Mixbus by allowing much more control, if like me you find the factory channel EQ and comp controls a little heavy-handed.

Mixbus by Harrison is an Audio Plugin Host for macOS, Windows and Linux. It functions as a LADSPA Plugin. It can host VST Plugins, Audio Units Plugins, LADSPA Plugins and LV2 Plugins. Mix faster and sound better with Mixbus's True Analog Mixng Engine™ (T.A.M.E.). Mixbus is a full-featured digital audio workstation for recording, editing, mixing, and mastering your music. Mixbus comes with 19 built-in plugins.

Vocals can make or break a mix! The AVA Vocal Flow is an all-in-one signal processing suite for mixing vocals in your music. It contains 7 routable signal processing elements along with input and output controls. The AVA-VF is a 'greatest hits' compilation of Harrison's most sought-after console elements, specifically selected for mixing vocals!

The AVA Spectral Compressor is a dynamics processor that allows you to apply compression selectively across 18 frequency bands. These compression bands can either be spread out across the full range of the spectrum, or focused on a specific frequency range for more precise control.

The AVA Multiband Compressor is the latest generation of our highly-regarded multiband compressor algorithm. The AVA plugin is enhanced for use in today's DAW-centric workflows, with advanced features like a sidechain 'key' input and multichannel (surround) capability. Watch this video to learn more.

Harrison Consoles is offering the AVA Mastering EQ ($89 value) cross-platform mastering equalizer plugin as a free download for a limited time. AVA Mastering EQ is a mastering equalizer in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin formats for digital audio workstations on PC and Mac. Made for Michael who asked it:). In this episode of ITM, Brian shows how to create a MIDI track in Harrison Mixbus and add NI's Kontakt onto it so you can create with the various instrument lib.

The AVA LegacyQ is a plugin version of our original MPC digital equalizer: an EQ that began as a digitally-controlled analog circuit, and was later adapted to digital while being used in ultra high-end post & film facilities worldwide. Watch this video to learn more.

The AVA De-Esser implements Harrison’s 4th-generation de-esser algorithm: tuned by our users to detect and eliminate harsh sibilance in real-time. Watch this video to learn more.

The AVA Mastering EQ is a powerful tool for controlling your mix's overall balance. Its unique curve shape is ideal for retaining your track's character while re-balancing the mix to achieve a professional sheen. Watch this video to learn more.

The AVA plugins are quintessentially 'Harrison': effortless, smooth and transparent.

Download the AVA plugin installer, which includes all of the AVA plugins, and operates as a free demo.

In Demo mode, the AVA plugin control-panel will occasionally become unresponsive. Purchase a license to permanently enable the control panel.

Can you please fix remove plugins crash Mixbus!

Can you please fix remove plugins crash Mixbus!
Hi, I tried to send you an email with things that need to be addressed at some point. But really. You need to fix this bug.
When you remove a plugin from any track, Mixbus will crash each time, no exception. The only way around this is: Disable the plugin you want to remove. Then save and restart Mixbus. Now you can remove the plugin without Mixbus crashing.
Thanks and regards

I am unable to replicate this issue on osX Sierra.
I have inserted and deleted multiple plugins from Fab Filter, Waves and Harrison.
I can do it stationary or I can remove them when in play.
Perhaps more detail as to what flavour of build of Linux you are running, and what hardware config you are using ?

I've got the same problem. Not every time, but every other time I remove a plugin, Mixbus will crash. Both Mixbus 5 and Mixbus32C 5. Am running in an iMac mid 2011, Mixbus 5.1.0 (rev 5.1)Intel 64-bit and Mixbus 32C 5.1.0 (rev 5.1) Intel 64-bit. 20gb RAM. I dream at night of pressing CMD-S.

I am on Win but also interested what can be the reson and where the freeze event is stored in MB that it happens a lot when a plug crashes MB , the session always crashes even the plug has been deleted from it.
Somehow MB somwhere 'remembers' the crash and does not remember the cause, so the cause is removed MB still crashes the session at opening.
Yur now it happened with Nomad Busdriver in a session. When inserted MB froze. Now cleared the plug from my HD, I do not have the plug in my PC, newerteless, the session still crashes at opening.
Strange.

I'm on Windows, but I've seen this happen a few times only with the Reference plugin by Mastering the Mix when added to the stereo bus. Otherwise, I don't recall any issues.

I use 32C 5.1 on Linux Mint 18.0 and I put and remove native Linux and Windows VSTs (linvst) w/o any problems on regular tracks and mixbusses That was the case in 5.0 and previous versions.
I did not see any mention of which Linux distro you are using.
Cheers.

@ChristianWN & thri - just to be clear.
The tests I did where on 32C v5.1 on a session created in v5.1.
I had about twenty tracks in a 48khz / 32 bit session.
Is this the case for both of you ?
Is there a particular plug or brand of plug that causes the crash ?
Or does it occur on anything including Harrison ?
Also ChistianWN, Linux comes in so many flavours, we really need to know more detail.

I use Debian Stretch (9), Stock rt-kernel. Sound card is RME 9632. But on my machine this same error is not only on linux but on win7 win 8.1 and win 10 too. This happens on all types of plugins vst lv2 etc.
I use jackd on both windows and linux. This error is on Mixbus both version 4 and 5.
Using Carla in Debian I can remove plugins no problem.
I can provide any type of info, just name it. Except I do not have win7 and 10 anymore.
Thanks

Just for the sake of it, can you provide the name of some plugins that are causing this ?

I also use Debian Stretch, and do not have this issue. These days I rarely use jack though, but I just tested (jack2/jackdbus) and there are no crashes when removing tracks with plugins.
BTW. Carla is not officially available from Debian, so it seems you have customized your system. Perhaps you're experiencing a follow-up issue of that? Maybe some manually installed plugins that interfere with others (e.g. calf ladspa from debian + calf LV2 from KX conflict when installed on the same machine and can cause issues like this). As for this issue happening on windows, I'm not aware of other bug-tickets of this issue.
PS. I've just booted up a pristine AVLinux, also debian 9 based, and can also add a track, add a plugin (tried XT-MC), remove the track. The same same on Windows7 works, too. -- we'll need a lot more information about the system where this happens. Also is this a default english system?
