The plug-in GUI has been 3D modeled and rendered by Voger Design, in order to resemble the real amplifier as much as possible. The Emissary is meant to be used as a virtual guitar amplifier for live playing and jamming, tracking or mixing inside hosts capable of VST. If you’ve joined The GarageBand Guide community, there’s a good chance you’ve received an email from me letting you know just how much I love Blue Cat’s Freeware Plug-Ins Pack. Of the plugins featured in the bundle, Blue Cat’s Free Amp really shines. In fact, I put a video together a wee while ago outlining how to get the most out of it. Best free ones are, in my opinion, LePou. However, just google IgniteAmps too. Some of their amps are really good, and their impulse response loader (NadIr) is one of the best I reckon. I think amplitube comes with a free JCM800 which isn't half bad either. Plenty you can do, provided you know how to dial an amp in properly.

GarageBand comes with an amazing amount of stuff - the Alchemy synth is a prime example. I paid good money for that when it was made by Camel Audio. In terms of effects, what it lacks is variety in EQs and compressors.
